Courage is what takes for you to begin any journey. But, we often forget that it takes courage to succeed and achieve all our goals in life.
Sometimes you get a push in the beginning, and other times you have to muster up courage to make a beginning. Which category do you fit in?
David Viscott ‘s quote on courage teaches us a lot about life and how we ought to forget all the inhibitions and make a beginning.
What Do You Mean By ‘It Takes Courage To Succeed’?
If you have the courage to begin you have the courage to succeed meaning is quite self-explanatory.
But, since you are here, we would be happy to elaborate.
Everyone wants to achieve success in life. But, there are times when something holds us back. What is it?
It could be financial, personal, mental, and physical issues. And, sometimes, it is all about the fears in your mind and heart.
It is easy to give advices about how you should not be fearful, but there is a voice in your heart that stops you from doing great things in life.
The real truth about being successful is that you need courage. Hence, David Viscott’s courage quote forces us to reflect. Why are we afraid? What are we afraid of?
Let’s understand the mental blocks that stop us from doing wonderful things.
Let Go of the Fear in Your Mind
Let’s take a couple of examples that will help you understand the situation.
Fear is our biggest enemy! What if we took the chance and succeeded?
#1 Riddhima comes from a humble background. Her father is a rikshaw puller, and the mother works as a maid in four different homes.
Riddhima has big dreams, and the parents still collected funds so that she could go to college. She feels saddened that her friends are from wealthy families. She fears that she will not be able to clear competitive exams or do anything great in life. That’s because she believes that their financial condition is not good.
Let’s say that she takes a chance, proves everyone wrong, gets scholarship, studies hard, and clears the competitive exams. All she needs to do is make a beginning. Truly, it takes courage to succeed.
#2 Love does not come to everyone. There are times when love knocks on your door, but we shy away from it.
Bikram fell in love with a girl and she betrayed him. The next time he got signs from another girl but he is not willing to give his heart. He fears that she will leave him too.
Why can’t we give love another chance? Perhaps this is the person his heart has been looking for!
Real Life Examples are All Around Us
Perhaps these are figments of my imagination, but you can see real examples all around you. Take the real example of Megha Arora, a 24-year-old girl from Hansraj College.
Her father is an auto rikshaw driver, but she cleared the IES exam in first attempt.
What if she had given up in the beginning? She had the capability and the courage to begin and then succeed.
There are quite a few examples we can give on the courage to succeed. But, every story will have one moral of the story. Take that chance!
If you do not try, you would never know whether you could succeed or not.
Let Go of Fear and Take Your First Step Towards Success
Why do you fear of what the future holds for you?
We think too much about — What if we fail? But, the question is — What if you succeed?
Do not fear the idea of falling. Just think if you made a beginning, you could fly high too.
Concluding Thoughts
Stop wasting time thinking about failure. When we think positive, we attract positive forces too.
It takes courage to succeed, my friend. Learn to be humble. Never be overconfident. But, have the confidence to make a beginning and finish the task on hand.
Even if you fail at first, the second or 30th time, you shall succeed. It all boils down to having the courage to succeed. After all, good things come to those who wait and work hard for it.
Just never give up and you will see the results!
